Muse Challenge Day 2: Favorite Song from Origin of Symmetry

damn, everything on this album is just so solid.  “New Born” and “Plug-in Baby” kick all kinds of ass as well as “Hyper Music”, which has added awesomeness because it’s ability to morph into “Hyper Chondriac Music”.  Then there’s the slightly slower, but no less intense, songs like “Feeling Good” and “Bliss” and “Micro Cuts”.  But I think my absolute favorite song off of Origin of Symmetry has gotta be “Citizen Erased”.  The song is an epic combination of the sharp and intensely exiting hard rock as well as the more moody and melodramatic songs that make up the awesomely dynamic album that is Origin of Symmetry.  Not to mention that the song has an extremely relatable message, what it feels like to have every move questioned and be under suspicion, told through a very interesting metaphor to Orwell’s 1984.  It’s a great emotional ride, which is not easy to come by in a single song, and I love it for that.
